SR., Carl Nathan WALKER

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Carl Nathan Walker, Sr., age 68, was born June 16, 1939 and died March 7, 2008 at River Park Hospital. The Superintendent of Operations at McMinnville Electric System, a United States Army and National Guard veteran and a member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Louis and Martha Welch Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Rosetta Hickerson and Inez Boren and brother, L.D. Walker. He was married to Frankie Carolyn Dunn Walker who also died March 7, 2008. He is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Carl Nathan and Michelle Walker, Jr. of Cleveland, OH and Neil Bradley Walker and Ryan Louis Walker both of McMinnville; grandson, Micah Finn Walker; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Lewis Cantrell of Rock Island, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leroy and Reba Walker and Clifford and Vergie Walker both of McMinnville and sister-in-law, Artie Walker of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2008 at Central Church of Christ with Joe Gray, Tim Parish and Wayne Cantrell officiating. Burial followed in the Rockliff Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Memorial Contributions may be made to .
