Christine Clinton WALLING

McMinnville resident and Rutherford County, TN native Christine Clinton Walling, age 77, was born March 14, 1931 and died November 29, 2008 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN following a brief illness. A homemaker and member of the Westwood Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Bedford F. and Lita Mae Armstrong Clinton. She was married June 12, 1947 to Darrell W. Walling of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Clinton Wayne and Jean Walling of Beaumont, TX, Cindy Lee and Joe V. Saia of Jackson, MS, Jerry Lynn Walling of Hendersonville, TN and Jay Anthony and Debbie Walling of Chattanooga, TN; six grandchildren and their spouses, Terry and Angela walling of Ft. Worth, TX, Steven Walling of Baton Rouge, LA, Joey Saia and Jereme and Jeannie Saia both of Jackson, MS and Katie Walling and Jacob Walling both of Chattanooga, TN; two great-grandchildren, P.J. Crawford and Sean Walling; two brothers, Gene Pitts and Billy Rambo both of Nashville, TN; sister, Lilly Dayton of Nashville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2008 at Westwood Church of Christ with Harold Jones and Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
