Morris WHITLOCK

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Morris Whitlock, age 63, was born November 19, 1944 and died January 15, 2008 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed construction worker and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Casey Lee and Maude Frances Alley Whitlock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Earl Whitlock. He was married October 14, 1967 to Carolyn Hendrix Whitlock of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Dawn Whitlock of McMinnville and Tracy Leanne and Gary Coppinger both of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Gracey Paige Coppinger and Jackson Trace Coppinger; special grandson, Japeth Tate; two sisters, Lenia Mai Smith and Shirley Ann Crouch both of McMinnville and two brothers, Ronnie Lewis Whitlock of Smithville, TN and Robert Lee Whitlock of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 in High's chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial followed in the Charles Creek Cemetery.
