Mamie Lou ASTA

Lebanon, TN resident and Wilson County, TN native Mamie Lou Asta, age 93, was born December 5, 1915 and died June 1, 2009 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a five-week illness. A homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late James and Mattie Hill McGee. She was married to Edward L. Asta who preceded her in death February 11, 1984. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Asta and two brothers, Richard and Howard McGee. She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Asta of Florida, Wayne and Ronda Asta of Fayetteville, TN and Ron and Donna Asta of Lebanon, TN; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in High's Chapel with Carl Smith officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
