Geneva BASHAM

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Geneva Basham, age 89, was born May 24, 1920 and died June 23, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A factory worker and member of the Chestnut Grove Church of Christ she was the daughter of the late George and Fannie Bell Lewis Nunley. She was married to William Price "Bill" Basham who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Manda Limbaugh, Ida Nunley and Stella Basham. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Marie Hoover of Manchester, TN and Shirley and Woody Luna of McMinnville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Carolyn and David Vandagriff of the Dibrell Community, Lori and Kirk Sparkman and Jeffrey and Greta Hoover both of McMinnville, Barry and Elisa Luna of Knoxville, TN and Stephen Hoover of Maryville, TN; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009 in High's Chapel with Brent McPeak officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
