Thelma Lucille English BELL

McMinnville resident and Laurinburg, NC native Thelma Lucille English Bell, age 81, was born November 1, 1928 and died December 29, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired CNA at River Park Hospital and member of Westside Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Bertha Mae Bundy English. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Katie English, Helen Wagoner, Bernice Farris and Maggie Brooks and brother, H.T. English, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Bell of McMinnville; three sons and daughters-in-law, John Erwin and Sue Bell and Randell Allen Bell both of McMinnville and Michael Anthony and Rebecca Bell of Grundy County, TN; four grandchildren, Chelsea Rae Bell, Chad Erwin Bell and Melissa Lee Bell all of McMinnville and Jonathan Erwin Bell of Guatemala, Central America; great-grandson, Jonathan Elias Bell of Guatemala, Central America and two step-grandchildren, David Myers of McMinnville and Christie Jones of Grundy County, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Westside Baptist Church with Tyree Smith and Thomas Lusk officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
