Bessie Emma BRATCHER

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Bessie Emma Bratcher, age 85, was born October 8, 1923 and died March 5, 2009 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the McMinnville Missionary Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Anna Mae Roller Boren. She was married August 16, 1943 to Elzie Woodrow Bratcher who preceded her in death December 29, 1983. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Freddy Bratcher and brother, James D. Boren. She is survived by five children and their spouses, James F. and Elaine Bratcher of Crossville, TN, Woodrow Bratcher and Anna and Ernest Martin both of McMinnville, Roger and Geneva Bratcher of Morrison, TN and Louise and Joe David Womack of Rock Island, TN; twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the McMinnville Independent Baptist Church with Johnny Haston and Ray Skyles officiating. Burial followed in the Old Bybee Cemetery.
