McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Bobbie Nicklene Bryant, age 85, was born March 13, 1924 and died December 6, 2009 at her daughter's residence. A homemaker and farmer and member of the First Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lula Esta Johnson Hitchcock. She was married April 11, 1942 to John Bryant who preceded her in death March 4, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Morris, Harse, Marlin, Relly, Raymond, Coffman, Alton, Haskel and Dema Hitchcock, Alma Chambers, Louise Lyttle, Cleo Delong, Willis and Johnson Dillon and Katherin Baldwin. She is survived by four children and their spouses, John Windell and Teresa Bryant of Rock Hill, SC, Darlene and Joe Bright of Walling, TN, Garry and Janice Bryant of Bone Cave, TN and Dale Lane and Theresa Bryant of Hixson, TN; ten grandchildren, Kimberly, Johnny, Starlena, Cinzina, David, James, Alison, Charles, Nicholas and Katie; seven great-grandchildren, L.J., Cole, Haley, Hannah, Levi, Madison and Bailey; brother, Gordon Hitchcock of Georgia; three sisters, Hassie Hitchcock, Mae Vance and Lorena Cox all of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in High's Chapel with Roland Sharp officiating. Burial followed in the Laurel Creek Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
