William Rufus BRYMER

March 12, 1941 — October 2, 2009

Spencer, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native William Rufus Brymer, age 68, was born March 12, 1941 and died October 2, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness. A farmer and member of the Ole Country Holiness Church, he was the son of the late Joe Dennie and Katherine Wilson Brimer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Brymer and sister-in-law, Joene Emberton. He was married February 3, 1962 to Phoebe Beatrice Hale Brymer of Spencer, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, James William Brimer and J.D. Brimer both of Spencer, TN; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elwood and Audrey Hale, Margie and Elmer Duke, and Ruth Frady all of Spencer, TN, E.J. and Brenda Johnson and Dale Johnson both of Sparta, TN, Margaret and Wayne Price of Quebeck, TN, Betty Jo Brewer of Pikeville, TN and Selma Ford of Cookeville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Ole Country Holiness Church with Nathan Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Cove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Ole Country Holiness Church.
