J.C. COPPINGER

Grundy County, TN resident and native J.C. Coppinger, age 72, was born March 15, 1936 and went home to be with the Lord January 18, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a two-year illness. A dozer operator, he was the son of the late Frank and Stella Gross Coppinger, Sr. He is survived by five children, Jimmy Coppinger, Barbara Cook, Johnny Coppinger and Barry Coppinger all of McMinnville and Regina Russell of the Rocky River Community; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Coppinger, Jr. of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009 in High's Chapel with Ricky Hawkins and Roy Terry officiating. Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
