Norma Jean EGLI

Navarre, FL resident and Readyville, TN native Norma Jean Egli, age 78, was born May 22 ,1931 and died July 7, 2009 at Baybreeze Nursing Home in Gulf Breeze, FL following an extended illness. A nurse's aid and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Y. and Lena Pennington Underwood. Mrs. Egli worked at the Mt. Wilson Tuberculosis Hospital in Baltimore, MD for over twenty years and also at River Park Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Winfred and Buford Edward Underwood and two sisters, Patsy Underwood and Dorothy Barlow. She was married to Robert G. Egli of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Golden of Navarre, FL; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Charles and Gail Egli of Stafford, VA; grandchildren, Kody Golden, Dustin Golden, Isaiah Egli and Kaitlyn Egli; great-grandson, Trevor Willis; brother and sister-in-law, J.W. and Juanita Underwood of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby G. and Edward McCarthy of Baltimore, MD and she was loved by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
