Verna Donalson ERWIN

Plant City, FL resident and White County, TN native Verna Donalson Erwin, age 95, was born February 14, 1914 and died June 12, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Oma Matheny Donalson. She was married to William F. Erwin who preceded her in death July 2, 1971. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Billy Gene Erwin; grandson, David Francis and two brothers, James and Virgil Donalson. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Bobby L. and Linda Erwin of Lebanon, TN, Clara and Marty Bachna of Plant City, FL, Juanita Lyle of McMinnville and Faye and Dale Carroll of Rock Island, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Vera Hillis of Florida and Nina Neely of Morristown, TN. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Mt. View Cemetery with Earnest Weber officiating.
