Barbara Cyrene GANNON

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Barbara Cyrene Gannon, age 61, was born July 9, 1947 and died February 24, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A former employee of Findley Industries and member of the Westside Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Myrtie Nash Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Roe Nash. She was married August 25, 1973 to Donald Lewis Gannon of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three step-children, Danny Gannon of Viola, TN, Becky and Larry Miller of Campaign, TN and Bobby Gannon of McMinnville; brother, Donald Barnes of Campaign, TN; sisters, Dimple Burris of Quebeck, TN and Roberta Brock of Doyle, TN; step-grandchildren, Cory, Chris, Heather, David, Terri, Chad and D.J.; five step-great-grandchildren; nephews, David Brock and "Duck" Brock; nieces, Kay Stamps, Frances Luna and Sharon Elledge and a host of grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 in High's Chapel with Tyree Smith and Chris Gannon officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
