Katherine Carney Harrison GANT

Baton Rouge, LA resident and Davidson County, TN native Katherine Carney Harrison Gant, age 93, was born July 27, 1916 and died December 4, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Marie Carney Harrison. She was married to Paul W. Gant who preceded her in death July 26, 1993. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, W.O. Harrison. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and David Libbers of Baton Rouge, LA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Winston and Pansy Gant and Harrison and Wanda Gant both of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Paul, Elise and Mandy Libbers, Winston Gant, Jr., Hanna Gribble, Jonathan Gant and Katherine Sparkman; eight great-grandchildren, Caroline Gribble, Lytle Sparkman, Grace Sparkman, Andrew Sparkman, Maggie Gant, Carolina Gant, Joshua Libbers and Nathan Lu and sister-in-law, Rachel Harrison of Nashville, TN. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in High's Chapel with Rev. Bob Case officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
