Georgie Smith HALE

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Georgie Smith Hale, age 92, was born June 16, 1917 and died June 20, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Arnold Smith. She was married to Clyde Hale, Sr. who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clyde Hale, Jr. and sisters, Elsie Hale and Nelle Short. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Roger Gunter of McMinnville; daughter-in-law, Donna Hale of Louisiana; grandchildren and their spouses, Bill and Kim Spicer, Lori and David Brown and Shana and Chad Cagle all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jessie Spicer, Dillon and Austin Brown, Brittany Jaco, Alyssa Jones and Alex and Adrian Cagle; great-great-granddaughter, Aliyah Jaco and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Winfrey Hennessee. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in High's Chapel with Mark Carrigan officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
