Jo Ann HANKINS

McMinnville resident and Jefferson County, KY native Jo Ann Hankins, age 73, was born July 17, 1935 and died February 20, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Beat and Sally Madden Samples. She was married to Walter Thomas "Hank" Hankins who preceded her in death. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Diana and Barry Boyd of McMinnville, Pamela and Jacky Fox of Rock Island, TN and Albert Dale "Joe" and Amanda Hankins and Walter T. "Hank" and Mary Hankins both of Louisiana; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Irvin B. and Mary Samples of Bowling Green, KY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in High's Chapel with Anthony Templeton officiating. Burial followed in the White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
