Leonard Tait HARRIS

McMinnville resident and Kane County, UT native Leonard Tait Harris, age 76, was born October 28, 1933 and died December 17, 2009 at his residence following a brief illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and United States Air Force veteran, he was the son of the late Ladonna Tait Harris. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hulda and Valentine Tait and sister, Naomi Hall. He was married July 20, 1957 to Edith Rhea Harris of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, LaDonna and James Watson of Franklin, GA and Andrea and Charles Lankford, Len Harris and Fay and Brian Knight all of McMinnville; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Harris of St. George, UT and Bruce Harris of Glendale, UT; sister, Oramai Pendleton of St. George, UT and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2009 in High's Chapel with John Padgett officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
