Brenda Faye HERNANDEZ

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Brenda Faye Hernandez, age 61, was born May 29, 1948 and died September 1, 2009 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Church of God of Prophecy, she was the daughter of the late Bevie and Laura Powell Bumbalough. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lesia Slatton Wilson. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Tina and Marty Mullins and Michelle Slatton both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Ginger Cruise, William McDowell, Brooke Slatton and Gloria Rosalinda; two great-grandchildren Sara Dean and Kealey Simpson; two brothers and sister-in-law, Billy and Lynette Bumbalough of Carthage, TN and Wayne Bumbalough of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Gary Taylor and Frances and Henry Hudson both of Rock Island, TN and former husband, Arvil "Butch" Slatton of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 in High's Chapel with Vernon Caruthers officiating. Burial followed in the Ivy Bluff Cemetery.
