Wavie Marie HERRIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wavie Marie Herrin, age 75, was born May 5, 1933 and died March 14, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Malloy's Laundry and Pajama Manufacturing and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Maggie Romans Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Roberts. She was married to James Herrin of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Ronnie Elrod of McMinnville and Carol Jeanette and Wade Grove of Morrison, TN; four grandchildren, Stephanie Pendergraph, Sheila Grove, Heather Grove and Alan Elrod; two great-grandchildren, Ivy Elrod and Ben Elrod; two brothers, Jerry Roberts and Howard Roberts both of McMinnville; three sisters, Laura Turner, Ruby Hennessee and Evelyn Morgan all of McMinnville and special friend, Jimmie Sue Hopkins. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 in High's Chapel with Ken Willis officiating. Burial followed in the Bascom Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to .
