Fannie Bell HOOD

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Fannie Bell Hood, age 88, was born October 27, 1920 and died April 13, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired registered nurse at Lagrange Memorial Hospital and member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late John Alex and Sara Elizabeth Conry Gunn. She was married to Joe L. Hood who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, James Gunn and sister, Josephine Myers. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Paula and David Hillis of McMinnville; grandchildren, Christi and Randal Gilliam, Mandy and Jason Blankenship, John and Crystal Hillis and Buffy Judkins all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Raleigh Gilliam and Jacob and Samuel Blankenship and sister, Frances Bryson of Nashville, TN. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in High's Chapel with Father David Cooney officiating. Burial followed in the Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN.
