Susie Ann HORN

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Susie Ann Horn, age 79, was born March 20, 1929 and died February 26, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lou Mooneyham Simmons. She was married to John Thomas Horn who preceded her in death in 2004. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Claude Simmons; sister, Ethel McCormick; nephew, Michael Hale and brother-in-law, Ed McCormick. She is survived by one son, David W. Brown of Manchester, TN; two sisters, Jessie Horn of McMinnville and Bessie Hale of Rock Island, TN; brother, Tommy Simmons of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 in High's Chapel with Earl Cairns officaiting. Burial followed in the Shellsford Cemetery.
