Eunice Jefferson JOHNSON

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Eunice Jefferson Johnson, age 81, was born May 28, 1928 and died December 31, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of First National Bank, United States Army Veteran of WWII, member of the American Legion Post 208 and member of the Brown Chapel Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Nelson and Clara Bell King Johnson. He was married to Audie Marie Carr King who preceded him in death June 15, 1998. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lewis "Rabbitt" Johnson January 24, 2003. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ella Richmond and Darlene and Louis Ramsey both of McMinnville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Harold Johnson of Lebanon, TN and Lee and Renea Johnson of Humble, TX; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, James Edward "Jim" and Helen Johnson of McMinnville and devoted friends, Maggie Locke and Jean Brown both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 in High's Chapel with George King, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Brown Chapel Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
