Mary Luna JOHNSON

Parsons, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native Mary Luna Johnson, age 82, was born August 19, 1926 and died April 2, 2009 at Decatur County General Hospital in Decaturville, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ada Young Luna. She was married to Lewis Johnson who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Johnson. She is survived by one daughter, Sandy Phillpott of Parsons, TN; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Johnson-Maynard of Loudon, TN; brother, Reefus Luna of Sparta, TN; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009 in High's Chapel with Don Franks officiating. Burial followed in the Peeled Chestnut Cemetery in White County, TN.
