McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carson Isaac Cleveland Keathley, age 72, was born August 24, 1936 and died March 15, 2009 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A self-employed concrete contractor, United States Army veteran of Korea and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William Quitman and Lorene Williamson Keathley. He was married to Eva Jean Higginbotham Keathley who preceded him in death November 9, 2005. In addition to his wife and mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Carson Junior Keathley; brothers, J.R. and Peyton Eugene Keathley and sister, Dean Rankhorn. He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Taylor of McMinnville; son, Chris Keathley of McMinnville; grandchildren, Joshua Kirby of the Centertown Community and Brandon Taylor of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Dominique Kirby and Layton Kirby both of Morrison, TN; brother, Clarkie Keathley of Louisiana and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in High's Chapel with John Padgett and Tommy Lusk officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.
