Jimmie Katherine Officer LEWIS

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jimmie Katherine Officer Lewis, age 80, was born December 3, 1928 and died July 3, 2009 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a five-month illness. A social worker with the Tennessee Department of Health and member of the Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Casto Prince and Lillie Ben Brady Officer. She was married to Edward Eugene Lewis who preceded her in death November 28, 1997. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and John Cohea and Lynne and Dr. John Shaw both of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Lora Leigh Chapman of Columbus, OH, Leslie Cohea, Will Shaw, Sam Shaw and Lily Shaw all of Nashville, TN; sister, Betty Cunningham of Fort Myers, FL and steadfast companions and caregivers, Lois Martin and Odie Mae Womack. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009 in High's Chapel with Julian Goodpaster officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery.
