Sharon Marie LORANCE

Rock Island, TN resident and Hamilton County, TN native Sharon Marie Lorance, age 56, was born November 26, 1952 and died October 19, 2009 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN following an extended illness. A nurse at University Medical Center in Lebanon, TN and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was the daughter of Mildred Dodd Jones of McMinnville and the late Johnny Jones. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Myra Faye Jones Morgan and father-in-law, Jesse Lorance. She was married August 2, 1969 to Ronald L. Lorance of Rock Island, TN. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one daughter, Angelia Lorance of Cookeville, TN; son, Eric Lorance of Rock Island, TN; granddaughters, Rayna and Danielle Castner of Cookeville, TN and Ashley Lorance of Burton, KS; brother, Terry Jones of McMinnville and mother-in-law, Sylvia Lorance of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 in High's Chapel with Michael Weeter and Tim Hitchcock officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN.
