Nellie Josephine Tuck LYLE

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Nellie Josephine Tuck Lyle, age 87, was born July 14, 1922 and died November 18, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired employee of Colonial Shirt Factory and member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Joseph William and Nellie Eliza Bost Tuck. She was married November 30, 1940 to Alvie Lloyd Lyle who preceded her in death July 29, 1987. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, James Lyle; grandson, Joe Lyle; great-granddaughter, Brittney Goethe; sister, Evelyn "Betsy" Harrison and brothers, George and Robert Tuck. She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Lloyd and Paulette Lyle of Florida, Sue and Jimmy Crouch of Morrison, TN; Nell and David Pennington, David Lyle, Steve and Jamie Lyle and Annette and Thom Williams all of McMinnville, Donna and Terry Edde of Manchester, TN; Daniel Lyle of Alabama and Lynn and Ron Jarvis of the Centertown Community; twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Barbara Thomas of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 in High's Chapel with John Padgett and Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
