Leslie Howard LYTLE

December 14, 1925 — August 4, 2009

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Leslie Howard Lytle, age 83, was born December 14, 1925 and died August 4, 2009 at Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired manager of the propane division at Atmos Energy Corporation, United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of the Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Jefferson and Margaret Pearl Clendenon Lytle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Beecher Lytle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Oscar Boyd, Beatrice and Livy Taylor and Melissa and Jake Curtis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Grace Roberts; brothers-in-law, Herbert "Sonny" Roberts, Gary Roberts and James Roberts and wife Dean. He is survived by wife, Myra Lou Roberts Lytle of McMinnville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Hillis and Randall McCurry of McMinnville and Rhonda and Scott Aldridge of Jefferson, IN; grandchildren, Ricky Stacy, Christopher Hillis and wife Crystal, Brandon McCurry and wife Sarah all of McMinnville, Jordan, Zachary and Emalee Aldridge all of Jeffersonville, IN and Christopher Murray and wife Cherita of Manchester, TN; great-grandchildren, Gunnar Hillis and Anastyn McCurry both of McMinnville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Bobby Frazier, Wanda and Kenneth Keaton, Beverly and Edward Keith, Kenneth and Patricia Roberts, Queita Roberts, Dianne Roberts and Mary Lytle all of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, many friends and other family members. Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Mt. Leo Church of Christ with David Costello, Lane Dix and Jim Sain officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
