Ray E. MARLOW

Rock Island, TN resident and Columbus, GA native Ray E. Marlow, age 69, was born March 26, 1940 and died June 7, 2009 at his residence. A retired mechanical engineer with Superior Essex in Atlanta, GA, United States Marine Corp veteran of Vietnam and member of the St. Matthews Episcopal Church, he was the son of the late Grover Sterling and Reba Mae Cannon Marlowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Marlowe and sister, Betty Jo Marlowe. He was married September 25, 1961 to Mary Louise MaryLou" Marlow of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Ava Ellen Marlow and David E. Berklite of Fox Chapel, PA and Sharron Leslie Marlow of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Samson Vincent Berklite, Louis Ronald Berklite, Sky Heather Cundy, Jeremy Ray Cundy and Anthony Paul Lopez; brother and sister-in-law, James Bradley "Bo" and Kathy Fields of Knoxville, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Reba Louise Fields and William Larry Tidwell and Barbara Janet Fields Fletcher both of Woodbury, TN; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2009 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church with Father Clark Baker officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews Episcopal Church.
