Howard Wayne MARTIN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Howard Wayne Martin, age 90, was born February 28, 1919 and died July 11, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired truck driver with Gant Oil Co., a United States Army veteran of WWII (10th Mountain Division) and member of the Mt. View Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Henry Edgar and Eliza Pearl Turner Martin. He was married to Thelma Schrock Martin who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J.D. Martin and sister, Louise Rader. He is survived by four brothers and sisters, Eubert Martin of Muncey, IN, Doris Rice of Lincoln Park, MI, Olene Clark of Chattanooga, TN and Edwina Bailey and husband, Jim of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Norma Martin of Dearborn, MI and special friend, Eno Hennessee of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Mt. View Cemetery with Vernon Joines officiating.
