Ida Belle MARTIN

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Ida Belle Martin, age 90, was born May 15, 1918 and died February 16, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired cook with the Warren County School System and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late L.P. and Ella Hardcastle Redmon. She was married to Aubrey Allen Martin who preceded her in death in 1967. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Lisa Brooks; brothers, Magness, Charles and John Redmon and sisters, Irene Cantrell and Vesta Foster. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Shirley Martin of Rock Island, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Michael Satterfield of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Greta Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and Douglas Brooks, Jr., Sandy Bush and Allen Brooks all of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009 in High's Chapel with Richard Bowman officiating. Burial followed in the Fuston Cemetery.
