Coy MCGUIRE

McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Coy McGuire, age 69, was born March 13, 1940 and died July 8, 2009 at his residence following a six-month illness. An employee of Bouldin & Lawson and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Sammy Deaton and Flora Warren McGuire. He was married to Mary Ann Holt McGuire who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, David Holt; brothers, Robert Denton, Roy and Herbert McGuire and twin brothers, Jesse Lee and C.H. McGuire and sisters, Willie Jean Hale, Mary Lou Nunley and Beulah Ferrell. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Wendell Webb of McMinnville; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Coy and Elaina Carol McGuire of Cookeville, TN and Greg and Pat McGuire and Bruce and Lisa McGuire both of McMinnville; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and special friend, Maxzine Jones of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 in High's Chapel with Arthur Hale and Jonathon Stubblefield officiating. Burial followed in the Long Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN.
