Albert Houston MOORE

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County native Albert Houston Moore, age 67, was born October 16, 1941 and died March 18, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A nurseryman and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Frank and Avo Vaughn Moore. He was married September 1, 1962 to Carrie Evelyn King Moore of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Houston and Clara Moore of Rock Island, TN; daughter, Johnnie Moore of Rock Island, TN; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Verble and Aleda Moore and Erza Moore both of Gallatin, TN and Junior and Hilda Moore of Spencer, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Albert Campbell of Rock Island, TN and Katherine Cartson of Gallatin, TN; four grandchildren, Paul Ward, Ashley Cantrell, J.J. Moore and Kateland Moore; great-grandchild, Calliegh Faith Cantrell; several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and good friends, Lee and Rufus Ballew and Phillip Lappin and family. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2009 in High's Chapel with Jeff Smith officiating. Burial followed in the New Union Cemetery.
