Martha Evelyn MORGAN

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Martha Evelyn Morgan, age 78, was born August 16, 1931 and died December 14, 2009 at NHC in McMinnville following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Maggie Romans Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar L. Morgan; brother, Ed Roberts and sister, Wavie Herrin. She is survived by one son, Bobby Morgan of Smithville, TN; two daughters and son-in-law, Phyllis Dianne Vanatta and Teresa and Terry Warren all of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Jared Vanatta, John Shields and Amy, Jeff Morgan, Kristy Morgan, Bambi Morgan all of McMinnville, Melia Warren of Chattanooga, TN and Lynn and James Jones of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren, Raven, Gabriel, Chloe, Kinsey, Kelsey and Clayton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby Hennessee and Laura Mae and Bill Turner all of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry and June Roberts and Howard Roberts all of McMinnville; three sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Roberts of Paris, TN, Addie and Bertlin Glenn of Rock Island, TN and Rose Morgan of McMinnville; two brothers-in-law, Jim Herrin and Fred Tittsworth both of McMinnville; daughter-in-law, Carol Morgan of McMinnville; aunt, Lucille Hembree of Quebeck, TN; special friends, Buell and Flossie Warren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2009 in High's Chapel with Richard Bowman officiating. Burial followed in the Webb Cemetery.
