John Thomas MUNCEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native John Thomas Muncey, age 60, was born November 26, 1948 and died May 31, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. A nurseryman and logger and member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Andy and Martha Elizabeth Jones Muncey. He is survived by one daughter, Julie Turner of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Hannah Campbell, Jacob Campbell and Ashley Turner all of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Donna Muncey of McMinnville; four sisters, and brothers-in-law, Linda and Paul Byford of Smithville, TN, June and Butch Fults of the Centertown Community, Pam and Jimmy Smartt of McMinnville and Shirley and Pokie George of the Gath Community and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in High's Chapel with Bobby Muncey and Pokie George officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
