Peggy Ann NOWLIN

Old Hickory, TN resident and White County, TN native Peggy Ann Nowlin, age 60, was born August 7, 1949 and died December 3, 2009 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an eighteen-month illness. An accountant with Kroger and member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Nancy Lee Groves Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty League. She was married April 18, 1971 to Charles Nowlin of Old Hickory, TN. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Renee Savage of Murfreesboro, TN; son, Kevin Nowlin of Brentwood, TN; grandson, Dominique "D.J." Savage of Murfreesboro, TN; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Elizabeth Rouse, Nathaniel and Pam Lewis, John Lewis and Michael Lewis all of Sparta, TN; two sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Atkins of Seattle, WA and Linda McReynolds of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Lera Nowlin of McMinnville; three sisters-in-law, Freddie Nowlin, Joyce Nowlin and Phyllis Nowlin all of McMinnville and two brothers-in-law, James Nowlin of Nashville, TN and Steve Nowlin of South Carolina. Funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 in High's Chapel with Mark Carrigan officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory.
