Melvin Gene NUNLEY

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Melvin Gene Nunley, age 52, was born January 30, 1956 and died January 8, 2009 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following sudden illness. A disabled nursery worker and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Gene Bethel and Gladys Walker Nunley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Deanna Nunley and two special uncles, Doug and Willis Nunley. He is survived by his companion, Josie Cooper of McMinnville; two children, Marty Cooper, Jr. and Sasha McCormick both of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Stevie and Linda Nunley of McMinnville and Johnny Nunley of Oklahoma; three sisters, Debra Barrett, Rhonda Nunley and Donna Dybdal all of McMinnville; three half-brothers, Tommy Pack, Kenneth Pack and wife, Dessie and David Jones all of McMinnville; two half-sisters, Lisa Jones and Dena Glasner both of McMinnville; special aunt and uncle, Margie and Jimmy Dodd of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Smyrna Cemetery.
