Thomas Malone OWEN

McMinnville resident and White County, TN native Thomas Malone Owen, age 61, was born November 11, 1947 and died April 10, 2009 at River Park Hospital following a nine-month illness. A radiology technician at River Park Hospital, a United States Air Force veteran of Vietnam and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Grady and Frances Brown Owen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Ann Griffin. He was married November 26, 1970 to Gayla Griffin Owen of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Brian Owen of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Cam Reagan of McMinnville; two granddaughters, Abby and Ashlyn Reagan; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carol Owen of Nashville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Mark French, Sr. of Nashville, TN; father-in-law, Kenneth Griffin of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 in High's Chapel with Eben Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in the Saylors Cemetery in White County, TN.
