Morrison, TN resident and Tracy City, TN native Roy Edwin Partin, age 58, was born January 18, 1951 and died September 12, 2009 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. The owner of Warren County Furniture and member of Bascom United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Phillips Partin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James McPherson. He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Linda McPherson Partin of Morrison, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, John Partin of McMinnville and Cody and Sara Partin of Atlanta, GA; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Rosalyn Partin of McMinnville, David and Barbara Partin of Estill Springs, TN and Daryl and Joyce Ann Partin of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Emily Partin of Tracy City, TN; mother-in-law, Maggie McPherson of McMinnville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jimmy and Alice McPherson of Chattanooga, TN and Steve and Cathy McPherson of Brentwood, TN; uncles and aunts, Dr. and Mrs. J.E. Phillips of Franklin, TN, Norman Pennington of Gladeville, TN, Dean Long of Alto, TN, James Bell of Tracy City, TN, Jane Medley of McMinnville and Clyde Medley of Smithville, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 in High's Chapel with Stacy Cowan officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bascom United Methodist Church Building Fund, First United Methodist Church Good Neighbors Fund, Meals on Wheels or the American Cancer Society all care of High Funeral Home.
