Nashville, TN resident and Putnam County, TN native Betty High Puckett, age 83, was born November 30, 1925 and died February 19, 2009 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. A homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in McMinnville, she was the daughter of the late Albert "Jack" and Rhoda Belle DeRossett High. She was a former teacher with the Warren County School System and an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard High. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Lynne Hamrick of McMinnville and Patricia and John Callison of Franklin, TN; husband, James A. "Jack" Puckett of McMinnville; grandchildren and their spouses, Clay and Ashlei Callison and Amy and Nathan Brandon both of Nashville, TN, Robert "Rob" and Kim Hamrick of Portland, OR and Allen and Lindsay Callison of Athens, GA; great-grandchildren, Abby Brandon, Anna Lynne Brandon, Ian Hamrick and Gioia Hamrick; sister, Rhoda Jean Harmon of Hendersonville, NC; brother, Robin High of Louisville, TN and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and interment was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Mt. View Cemetery with Bob Case officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to .
