SR., Louis Edward SMITH

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Louis Edward Smith, Sr., age 74, was born July 22, 1935 and died November 20, 2009 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee of Carrier and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Phillip and Ruby Spurlock Smith, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Louis Smith, Jr.; sister, Kathleen Smith and brother, Billy Smith. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Smith of McMinnville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Jerry Northcutt of Tullahoma, TN and Helen and Michael Martin of McMinnville; daughter-in-law, Felicia Smith of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Jerry "T" Northcutt, Jr. and wife Nichol of Tullahoma, TN, Jaris Northcutt of Memphis, TN, Raquel Brooks of Smyrna, TN, Zachary Martin of Louisville, KY and Michaela Martin of Chattanooga, TN; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ione Marchbanks of McMinnville and Ann Grayson of Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, Phillip Smith, Jr. of Morrison, TN and J.L. Smith of McMinnville and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 in High's Chapel with Zachery Martin officiating.
