Albert Justin TANNER

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Albert Justin Tanner, age 85, was born May 4, 1924 and died August 9, 2009 at DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville, TN following an extended illness. A retired lumber stacker, United States Army veteran of WWII and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Albert Clayton and Nancy Alta Joines Tanner. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Ferrell Tanner who preceded him in death. He is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jessie and Betty Tanner of Woodbury, TN and Frankie and Viley Tanner, Marcus and Thelma Tanner and Bobby and Lisa Tanner all of McMinnville; three daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Hester of Morison, TN and Rebecca and James Bell and Bertha Hobbs both of McMinnville; twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cannon County, TN.
