Franklin Lee Frankie TANNER

McMinnville resident and DeKalb County, TN native Franklin Lee "Frankie" Tanner, age 55, was born July 5, 1954 and died August 20, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness. A former lumber mill worker and member of the Shining Light Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Albert Justin and Mary Elizabeth Ferrell Tanner. He was married to Janie Neal Tanner who preceded him in death. He is survived by his special friend, Viley Dell Roark of McMinnville; two daughters, Tommie Rose Tanner and Emily Ann Tanner both of Sparta, TN; three brothers, Jessie Tanner of Woodbury, TN and Marcus and Bobby Tanner both of McMinnville and three sisters, Nancy Hester of Morrison, TN and Rebecca Bell and Bertha Hobbs both of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2009 in High's Chapel with George Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cannon County, TN.
