McMinnville resident and Warren County native Cecil Layton Taylor, age 68, was born October 7, 1941 and died October 31, 2009 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A truck driver with Martin Daniel Farms and member of Ivy Bluff Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Willie Vester and Ila Cornelia Chisam Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Stevie, Clayton and Jimmy Taylor. He was married to Melva Terry Taylor of the Centertown Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Kim and Phillip Roller and Chris Taylor both of McMinnville and Brandi and Joe Nisbett of the Centertown Community; four grandchildren, Gary Taylor Williamson, Braxton Cox, Baylor Nisbett and Brittlee Nisbett all of the Centertown Community and brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Kathy Taylor of the Centertown Community. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in High's Chapel with Kenneth Mears officiating. Burial followed in the Ivy Bluff Cemetery.
