Alvin Felix WANAMAKER

McMinnville resident and Grundy County, TN native Alvin Felix Wanamaker, age 68, was born June 10, 1941 and died August 28, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness. A carpenter and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Marvin and Mabel Smartt Wanamaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Brenda Wanamaker and Shirley Wanamaker. He was married December 23, 1961 to Jewell Nunley Wanamaker of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Jennifer Wanamaker of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Jared Wanamaker and Jessica Wanamaker both of McMinnville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Maggie Wanamaker of Bryant, AL and Danny and Louise Wanamaker and Foster Wanamaker both of McMinnville and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and J.B. Roberts and Carrie Lou and Phillip Tate both of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN with Jason Brown officiating.
