Horace L. WATTS

McMinnville resident and Davidson County, TN native Horace L. Watts, age 84, was born October 13, 1925 and died November 3, 2009 at his residence. A retired employee of the Oster Corporation, a United States Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and member of the First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late James Albert and Lottie Ruth Rosson Watts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Horace Watts. He was married to Nancy Gribble Watts. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bruce Burns of Asheville, NC and grandson, Brian Burns of Chapel Hill, NC. Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Dr. James Porch officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or First Baptist Church.
