Carolyn Simons WEST

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carolyn Simons West, age 79, was born October 18, 1929 and died September 24, 2009 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a three-year illness. A homemaker and member of the Newtown Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late William and Louella Mayo Simons. She was married to Lloyd Shelton West who preceded her in death October 13, 2000. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Fonnie Simons and sisters, Betty Moore, Katherine Degler and Evelyn King. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Karen West of McMinnville and Terry and Kim West of Springfield, TN; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and three brothers, Lonnie Simons and Jerry Wayne Simons both of McMinnville and Billy Simons of Texas. A graveside service and interment was held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at Gardens of Memory with Mark Barrow officiating.
