Sgt. Rachel Lynn WILSON

Mt. Juliet, TN resident and Warren County native Sgt. Rachel Lynn Wilson, age 36, was born September 6, 1973 and died December 2, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical in Murfreesboro, TN following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A member of Tennessee Army National Guard, United States Army veteran of Iraq and member of the Clark Chapel Baptist Church, she was the daughter of Cindy and Youman "Nudge" Barnes of the Belk Community. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harry and Louise Wilson and Hobert and Cyrena Barnes; uncles, Jim Wilson and Johnny Barnes and aunt, Marzell Ray. In addition to her parents, she is survived by one brother, Greg Barnes of Rock Island, TN; special uncle and aunt, Steve and Rita Wilson of Lebanon, TN; uncles and aunts, Donald Ray, Brownie and Peggy Barnes and Gentry and Pat Barnes all of the Belk Community and Ivy Barnes of Smithville, TN and several cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 in High's Chapel with Gary McBride, Anthony Pelham and Captain Mark Phillips officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with military honors administered by the Tennessee Army National Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels c/o High Funeral Home.
