Betty Frances Powell ARGO

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Frances Powell Argo, age 87, was born April 30, 1923 and died December 24, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness. A homemaker and member of the Smyrna Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Grace Killian Powell. She was married August 27, 1948 to Herman B. Argo who preceded her in death October 26, 2005. She is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Kay Simmons of Ringgold, GA and Barbara and Steve Sander and Debbi Argo both of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Stephanie Evans, Rhyan Simmons, Randy Simmons and Shelley Simmons all of Ringgold, GA and Lindsey Sander of Nashville, TN; eight great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Evans, Madilyn Evans, Evan Davis, Dawson Simmons, Rhegan Simmons, Savannah Simmons, Tristan Simmons and Brody Higgins and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Smyrna Church of Christ with Billy Reed and Jonathan Stubblefield officiating. Burial followed in the Hebron Cemetery.
