George Mason BEAVER

September 23, 1920 — February 21, 2010

McMinnville resident and Warren County native George Mason Beaver, age 89, was born September 23, 1920 and died February 21, 2010 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness. An attorney, retired Clerk and Master of Warren County and member of the First United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late George Benjamin Russell and Susie Barnett Mason Beaver. He was a former member of the Board of Trustees of First United Methodist Church and a United States Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. Mr. Beaver was a fifty-year member of the McMinnville Jaycees, VFW, American Legion and Warren Lodge No. 125 F & AM. He was a member of the McMinnville Volunteer Fire Department, 459th Bomb Group Association and various Bar Associations. He was married February 9, 1943 to Robbie Melton Beaver of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, George M. Beaver, Jr. of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Daniel R. Pichon of Dawsonville, GA and three grandchildren, Lindsay M. Beaver, Virginia L. "Ginny" Beaver and Katherine S. "Katy" Beaver all of McMinnville. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in High's Chapel with Rev. Bob Case officiating. Burial followed in the Riverside Cemetery with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Masonic graveside rites were administered by Warren Lodge No. 125 F&AM. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund Debt Retirement c/o High's.
